The Cat’s Pyjamas
Sometimes it’s just too hard to resist! Do I “need” adorable cat fabric? No, but I sure do want it!!!
Cali Fabrics always has a great selection of cute prints on Double Brushed Poly (DBP) fabrics, but when I saw these cats I couldn’t resist! I’m a proud Crazy Cat Lady!
See? Two cat-themed birthday cards I received recently, and leopard sandals that just happen to match my top! We have two cats and no kids, and I love it that way. So what better use for this fabric than matching pyjama tanks for my cat-crazy cousin and I?
For our tanks, I used the free Durango Tank pattern from Hey June. You might remember I sewed it in another DBP print last fall, with a striped chevron in the back! With a busy print like these cats, I wanted a simple design!
Now, in fairness, I did try to style this tank as “real clothes” by pairing it with my Cali Fabrics Tencel denim pants from last year… but it really didn’t feel like me. (OK, it was also in the middle of a very humid heatwave at the time, and that can’t have helped!) Instead, I’m thinking of this tank as pyjamas!
So here I am, in the hotel at my family reunion, looking at cat pictures and wearing my Cat’s Pyjamas! Cosy, cute and fun to wear – sometimes it’s good to let the print shine!
Cali is out of this cat print right now, but look at some of the other Double Brushed Poly options: What would you pick, and what might you make with them?
